Time
With busy lifestyles and jobs we travel to is there enough time to maintain the level of fitness we would like or do we do the occasional workout with gaps of days between our activities. Now adays we really have to be creative and no so conditioned about going to a certain location to workout but really just doing what we can when we can. If climbing stairs is the only thing we can do and we are in an office setting then use the elevator to go down and climb the stairs back up a few floors. No one will be the wiser since you say you forgot something. Part of the issue when trying to do some activity out in a public area is trying not to be noticed perhaps due to the image that we may not have the type of body we want to put on display at this point. Probably the obstacle we need to overcome is really understanding that for an new person trying to bring their own level of fitness up somewhat is where do we start and exactly what do we do. Also understanding we may not look or want to look like those perfect images of the fitness advertisements. However we can feel better and about ourselves by just starting something and stealing some time from out day to do some activity even walking a few blocks at a little faster passe than we normally do. The most important thing to consider is not put unrealistic expectations on ourselves. I have seen the big influx of new people come into the clubs after new year and start working out whether with a trainer or not and within a few months they slowly stop coming and go back to their old routine. The most important thing I have to say is when you come to the decision of wanting to make a change is looking at yourself and determining what your vision of you do see. In other words is what do you see yourself as and deciding what could you look like with some changes. This is where we have to be realistic and not get caught up in the advertisement you can look like this in 15 minutes a day image. You must start somewhere and understand changes take time but a few degrees of change now can dramatically your destination years from now. Many have spent the a lifetime or the last 10 years with children putting on weight or becoming less active and just can't see past this week to do anything different so this is where we need to look at ourselves and ask what my vision of me do I see for the future. When you find some quiet time to look at yourself and ask what changes can be made for these opportunities to arise ideas will come forward and you can start to implement them into your weekly lives. Obviously when we come to a point where we want to choose a slightly new direction for out lives and I stress slightly , what we put into our bodies will become the most important thing as for as some of the changes . Here's where we hit brick walls and fall down in the food area and this starts to take away our discipline to be active. You must make changes that you can live with, I repeat "you must make changes you can live with" . If you diet is coffee - muffin or whatever in the morning then many other fast food items throughout the day these are things we really enjoy then don't expect to cut them out of your life in one day and never go back then barring a heart attack you will say it's not worth it and give up. When you can make subtle changes in things you do such as your activity level and in your food and drink routine then you can make a lifetime change that could benefit you years down the road. Example if you like your diet drinks and perhaps consume 5 to 8 of them a day perhaps you could start to wean yourself down and one of two of them and it will not seem like such a drastic change . Many people develop a fitness routine and it becomes an all consuming regimen that can't be broken and controls their lives, must workout 4 to 5 times a week and can't indulge at family functions no matter how good the food tastes. I would like to say if your not training for a specific event then relax occasionally and enjoy festivities because it will make going back to your workouts my enjoyable and worth while. Besides a weekend of indulging won't wreck you weight loss or whatever your goal is. With any decision there will be many plateau's when we can see to improve ourselves and this is where many of us fail to continue . Continue anyway because when you can do something , anything to keep going then we find a little more self esteem boast that says I did something good for myself today and that carries onto other aspects of our busy lives.
